Pillerton Priors Village Hall – Hall Description

Pillerton Priors Village Hall, near Ettington and Kineton, has a large hall that takes a full fun run or one big bouncy castle, plus a playing field outside for summer parties. We've done a few parties here, all in the large hall or out on the field.

A fun run down the middle of the hall

For a 5-year-old's party one February, we ran the Junior Disco Run straight down the middle of the large hall, with balloons all round the room. It's 26.9ft long and needs about 36ft by 15ft once you allow the space around it, and the large hall took it without any trouble. The Junior Disco Run is £165 for the day and has its own disco light and Bluetooth speaker.

You can have a fun run or a bouncy castle here, but not both at once. If you go for a castle, there's room for soft play in front of it, though not beside it.

How tall a castle will fit?

I haven't measured the ceiling, but the 3D Superhero castle has been up in here with no problems, and that needs 10.5ft of height and 18.8 x 23.8ft of floor. So the large hall is at least 10.5ft high, and nearly all our slide castles will go in. The 3D Superhero is £130.

Outside on the playing field

The hall comes with its own playing field. I've put a castle out there once, the purple Halloween theme castle in its Trick or Treat artwork, which is £100. Out there it's pegged into the grass and runs off a lead to a socket in the hall, and the wind on the day decides whether it can go up.

I'm Luke, and I'm the one who drives out and sets up each of these parties. I'm an RPII inspector as well, so I do the yearly safety tests on our castles myself. We've had over 400 five-star reviews from families around here.

Booking it

The parish council lists a second, smaller hall too, which I haven't used, plus an excellent kitchen, good parking and acoustic panels in the large hall ceiling that cut the echo. You book the hall through bookings@pillertonpriorsvillagehall.org.uk, and use CV35 0PJ for the sat nav. There's no delivery charge from us, just a minimum order that shows when you book. You pay a £25 admin fee to book and the rest 14 days before, and set-up takes about 30 minutes. Ettington Community Centre and Kineton Village Hall are close by if Pillerton is taken.
