Access Routes & Delivery Requirements

At Best Party Hire, safe and clear access is essential for delivering, setting up, and collecting equipment. This page explains what access is required and what to consider before booking.

Clear Access Routes

We require a clear, safe access route from our delivery vehicle to the setup area.

The route must:

  • Be clear of obstacles

  • Be wide enough to move rolled inflatables safely

  • Allow equipment to be transported without lifting over hazards

Please ensure the access route is:

  • Free from furniture, bins, toys, or garden equipment

  • Not blocked by vehicles

  • Safe to walk on (not slippery, muddy, or unstable)

Gates & Narrow Access Points

If access is through a gate or side passage, please check:

  • The narrowest point, including gate frames

  • That gates can be fully opened

  • There are no low overhangs or sharp turns

Most standard gates are fine, but very narrow gates or tight turns may prevent equipment from passing through.

If you’re unsure, please measure the narrowest point or send photos before booking.

Steps, Slopes & Changes in Level

Access routes should ideally be:

  • Flat

  • Level

  • Step-free

Please let us know in advance if the access route includes:

  • Steps

  • Steep slopes

  • Raised thresholds

  • Uneven surfaces

These can affect whether equipment can be moved safely and may prevent setup in some cases.

Parking & Vehicle Access

We require reasonable vehicle access close to the setup location.

Please ensure:

  • There is legal parking available nearby

  • Any parking restrictions are considered

  • Access is not blocked by other vehicles

For homes with limited parking or venues with controlled access, please advise us in advance.

Delivery Vehicle Access

Our delivery vehicle must be able to:

  • Access the property or venue safely

  • Stop close enough for unloading

  • Exit the area without obstruction

If your location involves:

  • Narrow lanes

  • Restricted access times

  • Controlled entry points

  • Bollards or barriers

Please let us know before booking so we can confirm suitability.

Venues & Organised Events

For venues or organised events:

  • Confirm delivery access times in advance

  • Ensure doors and gates are unlocked at arrival

  • Provide clear directions for unloading areas

Some venues require specific delivery instructions — these must be shared with us ahead of time.

On-the-Day Access

On the day of your booking:

  • Access routes must be clear at the agreed delivery time

  • Gates and doors must be unlocked

  • Parking must be available as planned

If we are unable to access the setup area safely due to access issues that were not disclosed in advance, we may be unable to proceed with setup and normal cancellation terms may apply.
