Venue Permission & Council Land Requirements
At Best Party Hire, it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that permission has been granted for equipment to be set up at the chosen location.
This page explains when permission is required and what applies to council land or public spaces.
Venue Permission Requirements
If your booking is taking place at a venue, permission must be obtained before booking.
This includes:
-
Village halls
-
Community centres
-
Schools or nurseries
-
Sports halls
-
Private venues
You must ensure that:

There is sufficient space and height

-
The venue’s rules allow safe setup and anchoring
Some venues may also require:
We are happy to provide relevant documentation on request, but permission must be confirmed by the hirer.
Council Land & Public Spaces
We do not set up equipment on council-owned land or public spaces unless written permission has been granted by the relevant authority.
Council land includes:
In most cases, councils require:
These permissions must be arranged in advance and confirmed in writing.
Without Permission
If we arrive on the day and:
We will be unable to proceed with setup.
In these cases:
This is not a decision we take lightly, but we cannot operate without proper authorisation.
Private Land vs Public Land
-
Private land (your own garden or privately owned property):
→ Permission is assumed if you are the landowner or have the landowner’s consent
-
Public or council land:
→ Written permission is always required
If you’re unsure which applies to your location, please check before booking.
Schools, Events & Organised Functions
For schools, fairs, or organised events:
-
Please confirm permission with the landowner or organiser
-
Ensure inflatables are permitted under event rules
-
Provide any required documentation early
Early checks help everything run smoothly on the day.
Why Permission Matters
These requirements exist to:
-
Ensure legal compliance
-
Protect children, guests, and the public
-
Avoid disruption or forced removal on the day
-
Protect all parties involved
We cannot rely on verbal assurances alone — permission must be confirmed.
