About Best Party Hire in Warwickshire.

My name is Luke Emerson, and together with my wife Louise and our two children, Abi and Nick, we run Best Party Hire.

I started the business on May the 4th 2011, not a deliberate connection to Star Wars. The idea came to me while visiting Costco, where I saw a bouncy castle hanging from the ceiling. It took me about a year to decide that it was something I wanted to pursue.

I began with a single small bouncy castle, transporting it in my Ford Focus, which was not the best idea for the car’s suspension. It wasn’t long before I upgraded to a small van. My very first hire was in Wellesbourne at the church centre. I cannot remember the exact event, but it was the start of everything.

Not long after, our children were born, both arriving in the early hours of the morning at weekends. On both occasions, I stayed up through the night and still went out to deliver castles the next morning. Those were the days.

Becoming a parent completely focused my mindset, and safety became my top priority.

Over the years, we have moved with the industry, from the old RPII testing to PIPA testing, and I have always made sure everything is checked, maintained, and kept in good condition. I also carry out all the PAT testing myself, which means it gets done regularly rather than just once a year. Most of the week is spent doing the behind the scenes work, cleaning, checking, and making sure everything is ready to go back out again. A lot of that happens at home in Lighthorne Heath.

Weekends are when we are out on the road, delivering across Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Banbury, and around South Warwickshire. It is a mix of parties, events, and venues, and it is never really the same twice.

One thing that has come with doing this for so long is getting to know the local halls really well. Because I am the one doing the deliveries, I have seen most of them. I know what fits, what does not, which ones have low ceilings, awkward access, or plenty of space. It is just something you pick up over time.
