Planning a children’s party can be exciting, with all the amazing options, themes and decorations, but it can also be overwhelming, and getting everything done on time can be difficult.
One of the most common questions we are asked is: When should I book a bouncy castle?
The simple answer is as early as possible, but in reality, there are a couple of things that should be sorted first.
Booking your party in the right order can help remove stress and avoid mistakes.
Below is the order we recommend booking everything in.
First select the date.
Selecting the date should be quite easy, but you may want to avoid certain dates, for example Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
If your birthday boy or girl wants a specific friend at their party, it may be worth asking the other parents first to make sure the date works for them too.
Book the venue.
If your venue is at home, then skip this section, as that set-up is easy. But if you’re looking for a hall, first take a look at our Where to Party page.
Then look for venues that are close to your area and take a look at the sizes. Some venues have both indoor and outdoor areas.

Book the equipment.
Naturally, this is our area. If you’re having a back garden party, you may want to take a look at our gazebos, as predicting the weather in England can be impossible.

Organise food, decorations and extras.
