Napton Village Hall – Hall Description

For one party at Napton Village Hall in Napton on the Hill, we set up our Junior Disco Run, a ball pool, Didi cars and soft play mats, all in the main hall at the same time. Standard and combi castles fit in here too, and the Junior Disco Run is the biggest thing we've had inside so far.

A 5th birthday one February

That party was for a 5-year-old. The Junior Disco Run (£165, ages 4 to 15) needs 15.2 x 35.9ft of floor and 10.8ft of height, and it has its own disco light and Bluetooth speaker. Next to it went our Party Time ball pool (£60, needs 10 x 15ft), six Didi cars (two sets of three at £25 a set) on the hall floor, and 30 of our 60cm soft play mats (£1 each).

The main hall has a stage, which an entertainer can use, and we work the inflatables around it. There's also a separate room for food and seating, so the eating can happen away from the inflatables. According to Venues for Hire, you can book the whole building, the main hall only or the Jubilee Room only, and every booking includes the kitchen, toilets and car park.

One thing to know about the main hall: a metal bar runs across it. The basketball shootout, which needs 14.9ft of height, does fit, but only in certain spots away from the bar, so tell me early if you want it.

Can the castle go outside?

Yes, in the summer. There's a field out the back where we can put a bouncy castle, so you can have inflatables inside and out. One June, for a seventh birthday, we put a fun run and our large adult castle (£135, ages 5 and up, needs 21.7 x 21.1ft) out there on the grass. Parking is good, with spaces on site for guests.

Getting the van in

The way in for us is round the back, through a barrier, and the barrier has to be open when I arrive. When you book the hall, ask how it's opened and make sure someone can do it, or I can't get the kit to the door.

I'm Luke, and I do every set-up here myself. Allow half an hour for each inflatable, and each one wants its own 13-amp socket. When anything goes up outside, I check the wind with an anemometer before anyone goes on it. We don't charge for delivery, just a minimum order that shows when you book, £25 secures the day, and whatever's left gets paid a fortnight beforehand. Our five-star Google reviews are over 400.
