Splat the Rat is the old funfair game: one person drops a soft "rat" down a tube, and the player tries to whack it with a padded bat as it shoots out of the bottom. Ours is £40 to hire (£25 for a second day) and comes with the tube, the rat and the bat. It's for ages 4 and up, and it's fun for teenagers and adults too.
The tube stands about 1.5 metres tall.
Where does it work best?
It can go indoors, or outside on grass or a patio. It needs an adult to look after it, as one person drops the rat and one swings the bat.
It's a good one for school fairs and fundraisers, and you can just play it for fun or set it up as a mini competition or prize game. If you're organising a school fun day, have a look at our free castles for schools page too.
