A Fantastic Party Setup at Cubbington Village Hall.
Recently we hired our disco-enabled party theme castle with slide at the great venue Cubbington Village Hall. It’s not the first time either; I think we have hired this castle, or other similar castles like the 3D Dinosaur and 3D Super Hero castle, which are the same size, quite a few times.
This time, like a lot of times, I arrived about 20 minutes early and checked the door, as sometimes they leave the venue open — I presume they know I’m coming. The height barrier was also open this time, which makes it so much easier to get on with setting up the equipment.
I went in with Nick and Abi and we began setting up in our normal location, took some photos (image below), and a quick video. After about five minutes the customer arrived, so we first talked over if it was in the right position, as we are always happy to move the inflatable if needed and if it’s in a safe space. Then we talked over the safety information, like how many children at a time, no climbing on walls, etc.
Then I showed them how to connect their phone to the speaker at the back and we left.
Why the Disco Bouncy Castle with Slide Is So Popular.
With a good bounce area and a fun slide, this castle is a popular choice, but with the added light at the top and speaker at the back it’s one of the favourites.
The speaker works via Bluetooth and connects to your phone. You will need a playlist to make the most of it, and I recommend downloading the music. I don’t think there are any signal issues at Cubbington Village Hall, but it’s always best to be safe.
The disco light is automated, so it doesn’t need any attention, but it makes for a great party atmosphere along with the speaker.
It’s also quite compact for a castle with a slide, with the required space being 18.3ft wide by 25.1ft long and 10.7ft high.

Cubbington Village Hall Works So Well for Parties.
It was refurbished only a few years ago, so with nice new flooring and a new coat of paint, it’s always nice to have a clean place for a party.
As for the layout, you first walk through the doors. Two sets of toilets are on the left, the men’s, and the women’s are on the right. Then you’re in the main hall with a small stage at the back.
Near the back on the left is the kitchen, which is a good size with all the normal items. On the right is an extra room where you could put a soft play unit, but I think the best use is to have the tables and chairs for the party food, keeping it clear for the main party area.
We nearly always put the castle in front of the stage, as the opposite end blocks the main doors. At the top there is a wooden stage decoration that is just too close for the castle to fit under, so we have to put the castle a few extra feet from the stage to stop it hitting the wood.
Cubbington Village Hall parking and outside area.
There is quite a lot of parking for the venue. I would say about 20 spaces, some around the front and a few more around the back. The parking around the back is next to a large park, which I think is part of the grounds of the hall.
The Most Popular Add-Ons That Work Well With This Castle.
The obvious add-on for this and most castles is the Didi Cars, and they work well at Cubbington Village Hall as it has a wooden floor.
But games like Connect Four and Noughts and Crosses are popular too.
